Specialist Pathway
Cross-media platform production meeting
What I did: -
In this meeting we looked at the ideas we already have for our Specialist Pathway project. Due to concerns from members of the team it was decided that we should come up with a new idea from the project. To find new ideas we were set the task of looking at real life events e.g. newspaper; online. The strongest story that came from this was: -
An incident of street violence on Halloween
We used this as our starting point and began to build upon it. The ideas that came out of this were: -
- Intercutting between two parallel narratives (the victim and the perpetrator) which converge at the end. (Two worlds meeting with devastating consequences).
- Juveniles
- Gangs
- Monsters (Halloween) – comment on society
Conclusion: –
We will continues to look at this idea, again try to expand upon it. We will also rethink how we are going to use the online media platforms available to us to tell the narrative.
